Why licensed projects need a different workflow
The product must match the approved visual standard and carry the correct licensed identification.
For L&L, the work begins after the approved artwork is supplied. The challenge is to translate that approved file into a textile sample whose printed colors, scale, placement, material and construction remain consistent with the client’s expectations.
Using a Hello Kitty blanket as the project example, this page explains how L&L structures the work: receiving the approved artwork, preparing the first sample, adjusting color through repeated sampling when necessary, obtaining final sample approval, controlling the exact quantity of licensed labels, and carrying the approved standard into production and delivery.
L&L does not create or redesign the character artwork. Actual character files, logos, copyright wording, licensed labels and packaging assets are supplied or approved by the client, rights holder or authorized licensee.

Artwork, Product Brief & Requirements
Receive the approved character artwork, blanket specification, target colors, placement, packaging requirements and market information from the client or authorized party.
Translate Artwork into Textile
Apply the supplied artwork to the selected blanket material and construction, then prepare the first physical sample for review.
Repeated Sampling When Required
Printed textile colors can differ from the digital artwork. Ink, fabric base, pile direction and finishing may require several sampling rounds before the result is accepted.
Lock the Physical Standard
After color, placement, size, hand feel, weight, construction and packaging are confirmed, the approved sample becomes the production reference.
Exact Quantity, No Spare Labels
Licensed labels are normally supplied in the exact order quantity. A 3,000-piece order may receive exactly 3,000 labels, with no replacements or spare stock.
Label Reconciliation & Line Preparation
Count and record the received labels, define controlled storage and issue rules, and ensure the approved sample, label position and packaging standard are understood before production.
Every Product Must Carry Its Label
Each finished product must be checked for the licensed label. Missing even one label can create legal and sales risks in the customer’s market.
Quantity, Label and Shipment Reconciliation
Reconcile finished goods, attached labels, rejected units and remaining labels before shipment, then complete final inspection and delivery against the agreed launch schedule.

Licensed work becomes high-risk when sample colors, approved standards, label quantities and deadlines are handled informally. L&L uses clear control points around the information that matters most.
Sample Color Control
Textile color is judged on the physical sample, not only on screen. Each revision is compared with the supplied artwork and the client’s approval comments until the sample is accepted.
Licensed Label Accountability
Labels are counted at receipt, controlled during production and reconciled before shipment. There may be no spare labels to replace damaged, lost or incorrectly attached units.
Launch-Date Control
Sampling rounds, final approval, label arrival, production, inspection and shipment are mapped backward from the required market launch date.
Sample and licensed-label control logic
No bulk production begins before the physical sample is approved and the licensed labels are controlled.
A practical control trail reduces the risk of color deviation, label shortage and non-compliant finished goods.
Approved Artwork Received
The client supplies the authorized artwork, color references and product requirements. L&L does not redesign the character artwork.
First Physical Sample
The supplied artwork is translated onto the selected blanket fabric and construction for the first review.
Color Revision Rounds
When the fabric print does not match the approved visual expectation, additional samples are prepared and compared until the result is accepted.
Final Sample Approved
The approved physical sample becomes the locked production standard for color, placement, material and construction.
Exact-Count Labels Received
Licensed labels are counted, recorded and stored under controlled access. The received quantity may exactly equal the order quantity.
Production and Label Reconciliation
Every finished unit is checked for its label, and the final quantities of products, attached labels, rejected units and unused labels are reconciled before shipment.
Licensed label and legal identification
The licensed label is a controlled legal component, not an optional accessory.
After the product sample is approved, the client or authorized party may provide the licensed labels. These labels are often issued in the exact approved quantity, with no spare stock for replacement.
Every shipped blanket must carry its licensed label. A product without the required label may create legal, customs, retail or market-enforcement problems for the customer. L&L therefore treats label receipt, storage, issue, attachment and final reconciliation as controlled production steps.
